Am i Human?

Hi friends, for a long time i've been thinking of a matter. Everyday we hear lots of things about something bad happens to someone at a corner of the world. And automatically we feel something in our heart. Sometime we feel very sad. Sometime we feel relieved. Its normal if we feel that a guy who did something bad, finally faces something bad also.

But what does actually we feel when something bad happen to someone who is good, innocent, especially when that such person is a small child. Is it just a expression of us towards another human as we also a human being? Or is it more than that?

Does this feelings is blended together with our racial, religious mind? or just basic humanity only.??? I wonder what is it actually.

Lately i heard a guy named "Kovai" Ramesh, died in a tragic accident. I never met him directly. I just know him through a Popular TV show, Asatha Povathu Yaaru. Yet i did feel so bad, till i can't close my eye to get my sleep. So did this feelings had emerged within me just because he is a fellow human being, or is it a expression of humanity within me but based on religion & race? So is my humanity feelings, react in the proper way? Did i do something wrong in relating my humanity feelings based on my religion and race?

What actually happened to my feelings when the people in Palestine were bombed by Israel? Why didn't I feel so bad when my fellow Malaysians had expressed their worries and sadness over this matter.

So at that moment i didn't have my humanity? Or have i turn out being "something" else when Israel attacked brutally on poor Palestine peoples? So whats wrong with me?

When i had discussed this matter with a few of my friends, they also expressed their feelings in the same way. So it is a natural phenomena. But why? Why Race & Religion wins over the the Humanity feelings? Am being just a racist over the matter of humanity? Or its is normal? Anyway, i really hope that i will be a human first before being a Tamilan or Hindu. Oh god, let me become a good human. Hope he will give the strength of mind in becoming the basic human.

With Regards,

சவப்பெட்டி அழுகிறது,
இறந்தது மனிதன் தானே...,

For Thinking

A little girl and her father were crossing a flimsy bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind , age, caste or creed but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold urs..
