இந்து மதம் ஒரு கண்ணோட்டம்

இந்து மதம் மிகத் தொன்மையானது. இது ஆதிகாலத்தில் வாழ்க்கையுடன் இணைந்து இயல்பான வாழ்க்கை முறையாகவே இருந்ததால் இதற்கு ஒரு பெயரே ஏற்படவில்லை. அதற்கு மாற்றாக மற்றொன்று இருந்தால் தானே பெயர் தேவைப்படும்!
பெயர் வந்த விதம்:பாரசீகத்தினர் சிந்து நதிக்கு கிழக்குப் பக்கம் வசிப்பவர்களை சிந்துக்கள் என்றும் அவர்களது இறையுணர்வு முறையை (மதத்தை) சிந்து மதம் என்றும் அழைக்கலாயினர். பாரசீக மொழியில் ச எழுத்து ஹ சப்தத்துடன் பேசப்படும். ஆகவே சிந்து ஹிந்துவாயிற்று.
கோட்பாடுகள்:இயல்பாக விளைந்த ஒன்றை கோட்பாடுகள், விதிமுறைகள் என்று கட்டம் கட்டும் முயற்சி பின்னர் நடந்தது. இன்றைய இந்து மதத்தை ஒரு வரியில் சொல்லுவதாக இருந்தால் 'வேதத்தை நம்புபவர்கள்' என்று சொல்லலாம். இவர்களது விதிமுறைகள் என்று ஆரம்பித்தால் ஒரு வரியில் சொல்வதானால் 'எல்லாமே' என்று வேண்டுமானால் சொல்லலாம். மற்றபடி ஒரு வரியிலோ அல்லது ஒரு பக்கத்திலோ கூட சொல்லுவது கடினம்.
ஆரம்பம்:இயல்பாக தோன்றிய ஒன்றிற்கு ஆரம்ப கால வரலாறு அறிவது கடினம். இந்துப் பெரியோர்களைக் கேட்டால் மனிதகுலம் தோன்றிய போதிலிருந்து இருந்து வருவதாக கூறுவார்கள். ஐரோப்பிய அறிஞர்கள் இந்து மதம் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு 1500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு தோன்றியதாக கூறுகிறார்கள். ஆனால் இதைத் தவறென்று நிரூபிக்க கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு 5000 ஆண்டுகள் முந்தைய கல்வெட்டுக்கள், சிலைகள் ஏராளமாக இந்தியாவில் இருக்கின்றன.
இயல்பு:பழங்காலத்தில் பூமியில் இருந்த மதங்களில் இன்றளவும் உயிர்ப்புடன் இருந்து உலகிலுள்ள பெரிய மதங்களில் ஒன்றாக இருப்பது இந்து மதம் மட்டுமே. மற்றப் பெரிய மதங்களான புத்த மதம், கிறிஸ்தவ மதம், இஸ்லாம் ஆகியவை கடந்த சுமார் 2500 வருடங்களில் தோன்றியவை. இதில் புத்த மதம் நேரடியாக இந்து மதத்திலிருந்து தோன்றியது.
கிறிஸ்தவ மதம், இஸ்லாம் ஆகியவை தோன்றிய போது அந்த இடங்களில் ஏற்கனவே ஆதிக்கத்தில் இருந்த மதங்கள் அவற்றை எதிர்க்க முயன்று அழிந்து போயின. இந்து மதத்தில் புதுக் கருத்துக்களுக்கும் வழிமுறைகளுக்கும் எப்போதுமே இடம் இருப்பதால் அத்தகைய நிலை ஏற்படவில்லை. மேலும் மற்ற மதங்கள் வெளியிலிருந்து புகும் போதும், அவற்றைப் புகுத்திய அரசர்கள் வலுக்கட்டாயமாக திணிக்காதவரை, இந்து மதம் அதை எதிர்த்ததில்லை. மாறாக இருபுறமும் ஆரோக்கியமான கருத்துப் பரிமாற்றமே நிகழ்ந்தது.
எண்ணற்றக் கடவுள்கள், சிலை வழிபாடுகள், இயற்கை வழிபாடுகள் எல்லாம் இந்து மதத்தில் உண்டு. உருவமற்ற எங்கும் நிறைந்த கடவுள் தத்துவமும் மிகச் சிறந்த விளக்கங்களுடன் இதில் உண்டு. ஒன்றுக்கொன்று எதிர் மறையான கருத்துகள் இதில் ஏராளம். இவை குழப்பம் ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கு பதிலாக இவற்றில் ஈடுபடும் மனிதனைச் சிந்திக்கத் தூண்டுகின்றன. இந்த எதிர்மறைகளில் இருந்து நேரடி இறையுணர்விற்கு இவை சிந்திக்கும் மனிதனை தூண்டிவிடுகின்றன.

Dravida
Is this an identity? A Culture? A society? Or just a word?

When we refer to the Wikipedia, its says that Dravida is a group of people who speak Dravidian Language. So what is Dravidian Language? Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannadam are the Dravidian language. So in other words, Dravidian People actually consist of Tamilians, Telugus, Malayalis, and Kannadigas. The population of these speakers are mainly in southern part of India. The Dravidian states are Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka. Many scholars have stated that Dravidians originated from The Indus Valley Civilization. Indeed recent genetic studies also reveals that these Dravidians are the origins of India.

Where It Begun?

So where did the word Dravida came from? Many have studied this and came up with their theories. The main theory is the word Dravida originated from Sanskrit, where the word Dravida bring the meaning Tamil. Some have stated that the Tamil word itself have evolved from the word Dravida. Dravida->Dramila->Tamizha->Tamil.
Also exist some other theories that saying the word Dravida comes from Drava which means sea or water. Since the early civilization of these Dravidians begun at Indus Valley and their life was associated with water and river, Dravidians might bring a meaning of people stay near water or sea. Also the southern part of India is surrounded by sea in its 3 sides also might be the cause the people who were at southern part of India known as Dravidians.

Researchers believe that the Dravidas originated from Indus Valley Civilization till the invasion of the Aryans. The invasion of Aryans had caused the Dravidians to move out from the Indus Valley and move towards the southern part of India. They have discovered that the people at Indus Valley had the same cultural and socio life aspect as the current Dravidas.

Language

The Language had played a great power in the Dravidan culture evolution. The best-known Dravidian languages are Kannada (ಕನ್ನಡ), Malayalam (മലയാളം), Tamil (தமிழ்) and Telugu (తెలుగు). Furthermore it is also being said that Tamil is the mother of all these Dravidan Language.

Aadi Dravida & Dravida

The term Aadi Dravida refers to the Dalit ethnic, where these people were from the lower caste. These term of Aadi Dravida was created by Thanthai Periyar. He was one of the main activist who worked against casteism and division among the people based on castes. It is also being said that Aadi Dravida’s are the original Dravidans and the are the native people of Indian Subcontinent.

Science & Mathematics In English

Good day to everyone,
As everyone know, in Malaysia Teaching Science and Mathematics In English Had been implemented since 2003 for six years. And now as all know the protest against this policy is getting more and more. Many NGO and political parties have started to show their policy by many ways including making a police report.
All their claim is this policy is not suitable for our country as for the status of Bahasa Malaysia as Bahasa Kebangsaan is being harmed. But then is it really true? Does this policy really threatens the status of BM as our national, official language? We all need to think this issue wisely and evaluate it.
First of all, lets look into what is the main cause for these people to protest this policy.
1. This policy harms the status of Bahasa Melayu which is the National Language(Bahasa Kebangsaan).
2. This policy doesn't improvise the student's from rural area especially those parent's are uneducated.
3.This policy requires students to understand the correct meaning of certain terms in English and lack of English profiency makes them unable to understand.
Now lets see what we can see from these 3 main issues.
First of all this policy doesn't going to harm the status of BM since most of the technical terms in Science are actually English. Then the usage of English i education doesn't change the usage of BM in daily oife for official matters especially in Government departments.
Then for the second issue which saying that this doesn't help the students from rural area, I feel like this is just a reason for them to protest. Even when having these two subjects in Malay also it didn't help these students from rural area to improve themself. The quality of these subjects are depends on how hard the students involve themself in the studies and how hard the involvement of teachers in teaching these subjects.
The last issue saying that these two subjects involves many terms in English which aren't understandable. But the puzzle is the student's are going to use these terms forever in their life especially when they are going to study. Then how far can these terms is difficult to be understand? The English subject is the subject that needed the student to improve their vocabulary? So does that means that we can ask the government to teach the English in Malay itself so that the students can understand the subject a bit easier.
Each time the government implement a new system or policy in its education system, the students and teachers becomes the experiment subject. We all as Malaysians should think wisely before making a decision. As for me as i'm looking into the future of Malaysia and the students, i feel that ETEMS should be carried on for the better future of Malaysia and its people. Please support Science and Mathematics in English.

Tamil Cinema That Makes Us Think

Tamil cinema nowadays receiving many critics saying it causes the ruin of the Indian society and it’s cultural. Yet Tamil cinema still able to produce us with good films. Here I have stated some of the films that carry some good things with it. Any comments on this article is most welcomed.

Dasavatharam : Each and every events has to do with some other event. This was told clearly in this film by implementing the Chaos Theory as its main core. When Tsunami attack had brought a great damage to everyone in this world, the primary question that arose was “Is god still here? Why is he doing this?”. Yet this film had brought for our attention that everything that happens in this world has something good in it.

Puthiya Geethai : Each and every person in this world need to posses self motivation within themselves to live on. Life is to be lived, think good; good will happen, contended life is important, these are the values told in this movie. A person who is dear to everyone will get a 2nd chance even from death. Even though this might look stupid, but this is what people still believe on as Karma.

சிந்திக்க வைக்கும் தமிழ் திரைப்படங்கள்

தமிழினத்தின் சமூதாய சீர்கேட்டிற்கு ஒரு பெரும் காரணகர்த்தா தமிழ் சினிமா என்ற கூற்று பலரிடையே பரவி வரும் இவ்வேளையில், இன்றும் பலரை சிந்திக்க வைக்கும் வகையில் சில தமிழ் திரைப்படங்கள் வெளிவரவே செய்கின்றன. அவைகளில் சிலவற்றை என் கருத்துக்கு ஒப்ப வகைப்படுத்தியுள்ளேன். இதனையொட்டி தங்களுடைய கருத்து எதுவாக இருப்பினும் அதனை என்னிடம் தெரிவுபடுத்துமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன்.

தசாவதாரம் : ஒவ்வொரு நிகழ்வும் ஏற்பட ஏதாவதொரு காரணம் உண்டு என்பதனை இத்திரைப்படம் கூறிற்று. சுனாமி ஏற்பட்ட பொழுது கடவுளே இல்லை என பலரும் புலம்பிய பொழுது, சுனாமி ஏற்பட்டதும் ஒரு நல்லதுகே என்ற கருத்தை இத்திரைப்படம் முன்வைத்தது.

புதியக் கீதை : ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் தன்னம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும் என்றக் கருத்தை இத்திரைப்படம் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளது. வாழ்க்கை வாழ்வதற்கே, போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து, நல்லதே நினை நல்லதே நடக்கும் போன்ற சமுதாய கருத்துகளை இந்த படத்தின் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர். அனைவராலும் நேசிக்கப்படும் பொழுது ஒருவனை மரணம்கூட தீண்ட யோசிக்கும் என்று இங்கு அழகாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளத

வேலை முடிந்து நான் என்னுடைய மோட்டார்ல வீட்டுக்கு போய்கிட்டு இருந்த்தேன். ஒரு உருவம் என் முன்னாடி வந்து நின்னுச்சு.யாருன்னு உத்து பார்த்தா, அடடே அது நமது கணபதி. கணபதினா வேற யாரும் இல்ல, சிவன் பார்வதியோட மூத்த மகன். என்னடானு மோட்டர நிப்பாட்டினா பிள்ளையாரு மோட்டார் மேல ஏறிக்கிட்டாரு.

நான் : எங்க சாமி போவனும்.

கணபதி : எங்கயாசும் போ... அதுவும் சீக்கிரமா வெளிச்சமான இடத்துக்கு போ....

நான் : (மனதுக்குள்) சாமிக்கு என்ன அவசரமோ... மோட்டரு ஏறி பழக்கமோ என்னவோ... தெரியலையே...ஹெல்மட்டும் இல்லை.. போலிஸ் புடிச்ச சமான் கிடைக்குமே..என்ன ஆகுமோ..

கணபதி : அது ஒன்னும் ஆவாது... நீ முத போ... ரெம்பிட் சிகிட்லா ...

நான் : அட பிள்ளையாரு மலாய் பேசுறாரு... ஐயோ மனசுல நினைச்சாலும் சாமிக்கு தெரியுதே..இனிமே பேசாம இருக்கனும்.

மோட்டார் பயணமும், பேச்சும் தொடர்ந்தது.

நான் : ஆமா சாமி எங்க இந்த பக்கம்...? இப்பதான் எங்கள பத்தி ஞாபகம் வந்திச்சா?

கணபதி : இந்த கேள்விய நான் உங்க கிட்ட கேட்கனும். நீங்க எல்லாரும்தான் என்ன மறந்து போய்டிங்க.

நான் : என்ன சாமி சொல்லுரிங்க.... ஒவ்வொரு வாரமும் கோவிலுக்கு போறோம். சாமி கும்புடுறோம். அர்ச்சனை பன்னுறோம். வருசா வருசம் திருவிழா வேற... அப்புறம் எப்படி...?

கணபதி : என்னது ஒவ்வொரு வாரமும் கோயிலுக்கா? உங்க லட்சணம்தான் எனக்கு தெரியுமே... கோயிலுக்கு வர்றது.. ஏதாச்சும் பொண்ண பார்கிறது... அவ பின்னாடி போறது... வீட்டுல கேட்டா சாமி கும்பிட போனேன் என்கிறது...

நான் : இல்ல சாமி சரக்கு சூப்பரா இருந்திச்சா.. ஹென்போன் நம்பர் வாங்களாமுன்னுதான் போறோம், வேற எதுவும் இல்ல..

கணபதி : அது இல்லையா... கோயிலுக்கு வந்தாதான் எங்க நினப்பெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு.. அங்க வந்தும் உங்களுக்கு வேற நினப்பு.. அப்புறம் சொல்லுறது சாமி கண்டுக்கவே இல்லனு... இது பொய்தான.. நியாயமா..நீயே சொல்லு...

நான் : நியாயம் இல்லதான்... மன்னிச்சிங்கொங்க...

கணபதி : தயவு செய்து கோயிலையாவது உங்க சொந்த சமாச்சாரத்த விட்டுட்டு கொஞ்சம் பக்தியோட இருங்க...

நான் : சரிங்க சாமி...

கணபதி : சரி நான் இறங்க வேண்டிய இட வந்திருச்சி... இறக்கிவிடு... சரியா...

நான் : சரி சாமி..என்ன ஆசிர்வதம் பண்ணுங்க சாமி..என்ன சாமி சீக்கிரம் ஆசிர்வாதம் பண்ணுங்க.. சாமி...சாமி எங்க போனாரு... எது எப்படியோ சாமிகிட்டே நல்லவே பேசியாச்சு.. சரி இப்ப எங்க இருக்கிறோம்...???? என்ன சத்தம் இது..அலாரம் சத்தம் மாதிரில கேக்குது....

நான் : அடடே கனவா... நல்லதா போச்சு...ஆனா பிள்ளையாரு சொன்னத யோசிக்கனும்... கோயிலுக்கு போனா ஒழுங்கா பக்தியோட சாமி கும்பிடனும். வேற எதுவும் செய்ய கூடாதுபா. சாமி நான் திருந்திட்டேன்...

கடவுள் மேலும் பூமிக்கு வருவார்.....

தமிழ்ப்பள்ளிகளை காப்போம்

நம் நாட்டில் உள்ள மொத்த இந்தியர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை ஏறத்தால 8% மட்டுமே. அதில் பெரும்பாலோர் தமிழறிந்தவர்கள். ஆனால் பெயரளவில் மட்டுமே இவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் தற்போது தமிழறிந்தவர்களாக் உள்ளனர். தற்போதைய சூழ்நிலையில் 50% மேற்பட்ட இளைஞர்கள் தாய்மொழியாம் தமிழை பேச மட்டுமே அறிந்துள்ளனர். மீதமுள்ளோர்களில் தமிழார்வம் உள்ளவர்களோ மிகவும் சிலரே.

இந்த சூழலுக்கிடையே, பெற்றோர்கள் தங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளை தமிழ்ப்பள்ளிகளுக்கு கல்வி பயில அனுப்ப வேண்டும். தமிழை கற்று ஒன்றும் ஆவதற்கில்லை என்ற எண்ணங்களை விடுத்து விட்டு, தமிழுக்காகவும், தமிழ்ப்பள்ளிகளுக்காகவும் தங்களுடைய நேரம், பணம் போன்றவற்றை செலவளித்தால் நாட்டில் தமிழர் இனம் (இந்தியர்கள்) மேலும் முன்னேற்றம் கொண்டு சாதனையாளர்கள் நிறைந்த சமூதாயமாக திகழும்.
தமிழ்ப்பள்ளிகளுக்கு நம் பிள்ளைகளை படிக்க அனுப்புவோம் என்று நமக்கு நாமே உறுதி செய்துக்கொண்டு பாடுபடுவோம்.

Lets Save Tamil Schools

The amount of Indians in Malaysia in approximately 8% only. In this minority amount majority are Tamilians. Tamilians are people who has Tamil Language as their mother tongue. But then around 50% of the youths nowdays only knows how to speak Tamil. They can’t read or write in Tamil. If this situation continues, we will loose our indentity as Indians and Tamilians. Thus the Indians now must give their co-operation and commitment to our society by sending their children to Tamil Schools. In this way we can make sure, our identity is preserved in Malaysia.

We all need to make a promise to ourself that we Indians will perform our responsibility towards our society.
